Previously, we introduced the methods for configuring interface splitting and aggregating on some series of Cisco switch. This time, we will take the actual test of the DELL PowerSwitch S5224F-ON switch (OS Version: 10.5.5.9) as an example to show you the configuration methods for splitting and aggregating QSFP interfaces on DELL PowerSwitch S series switches:
        1. The QSFP interface is in aggregated mode in the initial state of the device interfaces, when checking the interface, only one independent interface is visible, with a default speed of 100G, which can be configured to 40G.
        2. The splitting and aggregating of device interfaces are configured in units of port groups, after executing the command "show port-group", you can view the device port groups and confirm the port group name to which the interface to be configured belongs. By default, the S5224F-ON switch has 4 SFP ports as one group and 1 QSFP port as one group.
        3. In global mode, execute the command "mode Eth breakout_mode" after entered the port group using "port-group port-group_id", this command splits the aggregated QSFP interface. The tested model supports splitting into 4 logical interfaces of 10G, 4 logical interfaces of 25G, or 2 logical interfaces of 50G. The command takes effect immediately after execution.
Note: If the port group is not in the default state, you need to execute "no mode" and save with "commit" to restore the port group to the device's default state.
        4. After configuring the interface as a split interface, when checking the interface, you can see that the originally independent single interface has been split into 4 logical interfaces.
        5. In global mode, execute the command "no mode" after entered the port group, you also can use the command in step 3 to configure the interface mode as 40g-1x or 100g-1x to cancel the interface splitting. At this time, the interface will aggregate back to the initial state of the device.
